The study area was subdivided into two main Spokane River Instream Flow Study Areas (WRIA 57 and 54) and four tributaries: Spring, Little Chamokane, Coulee, and Deep creeks. The main Spokane River Study Areas encompass the mainstem from River Mile (RM) at the upstream. Ohio River and several of its tributary streams. Work or structures in, under, or over the Kanawha River or any navigable tributary, between the limits of the ordinary high water lines on both banks of the stream require prior authorization. Inquiries regarding permits for such work or structures should be addressed to: Chief, Regulatory Branch.

The Tallapoosa River has a 4, square mile watershed. The watershed is mostly in the Piedmont, so it receives few nutrients from natural sources. For this reason, the Tallapoosa River and its reservoirs are often clear and not as productive as many of Alabama’s waters. The Mississippi River Navigation & Flood Control Book consists of map sheets developed to , publication scale. The book maps the Mississippi River from river Mile AHP at Cairo, IL to the Mile 23 BHP at Gulf of Mexico, to include the Passes of the Mississippi River Delta. Each map sheet is available for download in Adobe PDF.

Limited analyses of lake-level, precipitation, tributary inflow, temperature, and water-use data provided little insight as to the reason for the decreasing trends in streamflow. A net gain in streamflow occurs between the gaging stations Spokane River near Post Falls, Idaho and Spokane River at Spokane. The Green River, located in the western United States, is the chief tributary of the Colorado watershed of the river, known as the Green River Basin, covers parts of Wyoming, Utah, and Green River is miles (1, km) long, beginning in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and flowing through Wyoming and Utah for most of its course, except for 40 miles (64 km) .
